Although the preseason opener for the 2008 Bears was a good game, it was the backups that made it that way. Thank the Football Gods it was only preseason. Someone forgot to remind Caleb Hanie and Garret Wolffe that they are third string, or someone forgot to tell Orton and his first team receiving crew that they are the first team. The Bears defense was still waking up around 7:00 o’clock and forgot their coffee. The starters did almost nothing on offense and couldn't stop anything on defense. |
